Pack your tent, food for about a week, fishing gear and your binoculars as we will be heading to the Outer Hebrides.
You will experience some of the finest sea scapes in the Uk, great wild life, Atlantic swell, perhaps some surf, rocky coastlines and much more. This will be a 8 days/ 7 nights self supported overnight trip with a flexible approach to changing camp spots or base camping.
Depending on the weather, the main objective would be to explore the west coast of North Uist, Berneray and west Harris, and weather permitting, dropping as far south as the Monach Islands. There are also more sheltered options to the east.
We will be meeting in Kyle on the Isle of Skye on the 8th of May to meet and greet and will take the Ferry to Tarbert on Harris on Sunday morning. The plan is to take our trailer and as few vehicles as possible.

Pre requisits
- Ideally you will have paddled or taken a course with Mirco but a 2 day.
- Have experience in paddling a loaded Sea kayak up to 13 nautical miles (ca.25km) a day.
- Have done at least 2 multi day trips (5-7 days).
- You should be happy in 4 BFT for extended periods of time with the skill set of a BCAB Sea Kayak Award or Coastal Sea kayak Award level/holder, with solid rescue and self-rescue skills. A reliable roll would be great but is not mandatory.
We can provide you with a sea kayak, paddle, PFD and spray deck if needed, but you will need your own and personal paddling kit as well as your personal pharmacy.
Not included: Camping kit, food, transport(TBC) and accommodation, Personal travel, accident and holiday insurance- mandatory.
